I'm back at it again!

triple rosette/ribbon bracelet
So I'm back at the craft thing. A friend asked me to show her how to make a rosette... so when I sat down to do so... I ran away with it again! This is the bracelet I decided to make to go with the outfit I have pictured in my head to wear to church tomorrow! (Can you say run-on sentence?)

AND, I've been looking for a runner (rug) to go behind my couch in a high-traffic area. The ones I find that I like are more than I want to spend. Soooooo, I decided to make one! I am making larger size rosettes out of multiple materials to match my motif! It's going to take me some time... but I'm so excited to get it done and show it off! I will post pics when I'm done!!

My latest new find...... Pinterest! OMG..... it's a DIY heaven!!! More projects to come, I'm sure!

Later Gator!

Tall? Grande? Viente? You pick!

step one: take a pound of ground coffee (i used 8 o'clock bean).
dump it into a huge container. big enough to hold two gallons of water and then a bit.
add two gallons of water. mix it around to get all the grounds wet. cover.
walk away until the next day.

the next day (at least 8-10 hours later) strain the coffee mixture through a strainer and paper towels or cheesecloth. (look Q i bought paper towels!!! only because they didn't have cheesecloth).
this will get out all the grounds.
if you used the same container to steep and store...wash it good before putting the coffee concentrate back in there.

put in the fridge.
leave it alone until it is frosty cold and you are sweating buckets.

T
Then fill cup with ice to the top green line and then coffee concentrate to that line too.
then added a fun creamer selection...this one was caramel macciato.
delish. perfect. wonderful. awesome. did not need to add sugar or anything else.
it went down WAYYYYYY too easy.

iced VIA from starbucks costs $6 for six servings.
this cost me about around the same amount for ten times the servings.
and i love it more than the VIA. and you know how much i love my starbucks.

Thank you pioneer woman  via

Will you take $10?

Had my first garage sale....EVER.  Man, they're a lot of work! A lot of time, a lot of sore muscles from all the moving around of tubs/organizing, a lot of reminiscing while going through my boys baby clothes (ok that took the most time), and a lot of people trying to get an even better deal on what you're already giving! But mostly.... every one was pretty cool and pretty fair! So, not a bad experience... just a busy one! So.... we're doing it again in 2 weeks! :)

Hello June! Where's my sunglasses?

Howdy folks!! So happy to see June! It's been CRAZY around here lately! The hubs was out of town for work for TWO WEEKS straight! The first week wasn't so bad. The second week my 3-yr old was really missing daddy. It was tough... needless to say, I had my hands full. I've never felt so much stress. Thank God for grandparents! Daddy could not come home soon enough! It was a very exciting Friday night at the Wright house!! Harrison wouldn't let daddy out of his sight... poor lil' guy.

Then we decided to take an "impromptu" trip to Chicago the following weekend. The boys were so good! Slept on the way up and slept on the way home! In between we visited IKEA (that was the part for mommy) then had a yummy dinner at Johnny Rockets. The hotel stay was fun! Harrison and Liam were running around the place like it was Disney World... well, ok maybe not Disney. They loved the long running space and the HUGE floor to ceiling window overseeing a big pond. The mirrored closet doors were another popular attraction! The little things...

The night was interesting... Even though we had a full size bed, a crib AND a king size bed... it ended up we ALL slept (I use the word "slept" loosely) in the king bed. We attempted to go to bed around 9:00 but at 11:00 we were still battling the boys to stop jumping on the bed. Finally... it was quiet. But mommy was still awake in her 12 inches of bed.  The next morning came too soon!  But we had an agenda! Lego Land bound! We got there before the doors opened! Got in pretty quick and saw all the sites. 'ALL' I say... a couple times. It was cool... but not a lot to see for the $$. The boys had fun though... and they were so good! (WHEW!)

THEN..... HARRISON STARTED "PRE-PRE SCHOOL"!!!! Say it isn't so!!! My baby is getting so big! (Yes, I know I said 'pre' twice. He's not old enough for the actual pre-school yet.) He was a little "stand-off-ish" at first but he let me leave without a battle. Then mommy and Liam were off for our long day without our CC (what Liam calls Harrison). My stomach was in knots all day, but Liam and I had a good and productive day. Then it was time to go get my baby! He was so happy to see us and likewise, of course! Teacher said he was "AWESOME"! Hear that!?! I have an awesome kid! LOL! ;) The second day wasn't so easy... he cried when I dropped him off and had to be peeled from my arms. A bit of my heart peeled with him... OMG that was hard! I did call after a bit and they said he was fine shortly after I left.... WHEW!  Thank you Miss Carrie and Miss Erin!!!! They seem to be very good with my little dude! (...as well as with a nervous mommy!)

So.... that's what's been up lately. Now that we have a bit of "normalcy" back... I don't feel so crazy. But May was kinda wild... and now OVER! I welcome June with open arms and sunglasses!! :)

Doo-be-doo-be-doo.....

Howdy! It's been a while, feel like I need to write an entry... but "ain't" got much to say. Not feelin' like full sentences or proper form... so don't expect much! ;)

It's been a busy couple weeks. I spent a long weekend at the Great Banquet (Christian weekend- church concentrated). It was my 2nd experience and an awesome one, at that! So many women spending some quality time with eachother and God. Missed my boys something crazy... came home to roses and a clean house! Hubs had the boys all cute and dressed... nice to come home to things "in order". They offer lots of food at these banquets... so, I ate it. But it didn't stop there. I've been eating like crazy since-Ugh! Need to get my booty back to running. I've done Zumba a couple times at my church... I like it! I feel good after I do it. But I'm having a hard time feeling motivated to work out at home lately. Chris (hubs) has been working lots so it's me and the munchkins a lot lately. Makes it hard to go running. So, we dance and play... kinda a work out, but not really. Thinking about this Crossfit thing. Gotta look into the schedule...

Painted a couple pieces of furniture! Looks pretty good! Feeling the urge to paint my family room.... just gonna keep feeling the urge for a while... ;) Still making the rosettes (bows)! Actually made a couple bags for mothers day! And a couple pins as gifts too! Plan on making business cards to pass out for "passer-byers" that ask me about the bows as I wear them. We'll see... Any interest in one? I will sell! Got plans to pot some flowers this week with the boys. Hope we have some sunny weather! Rain= blah......

So, Harrison has been VERY into dressing like daddy lately. So, much we had to put a lock on his closet! He changes clothes 5+ times a day into different "daddy outfits". Oh! One outfit was a "Papa" outfit though.... Tonight he cried himself to sleep b/c he couldn't get in his closet to change clothes. Broke my heart... but man he TEARS UP his closet! I mean like everything comes down! He's really starting to become more independant. My baby is growing up!! :'(

Lil' Liam is obsessed with "Tommy the Train" and dinosaures! The kid can tell the difference between a T- Rex, Triceratops and Pterodactyl! Smarty pants! He also talks like a little British boy. He says "Hi Pa-pa" and "Hi Ma-ma" with his soft little voice.

It's amazing how much these boys have grown since last summer. It was much easier to get around then... now they WANT and they WANT now. Things take a lot longer... battles are a lot harder. They really keep me on my toes! ... and heels.... and ...

I'll close with a picture story. Just an example of how things take so much longer than they should. Oh the life as a mommy with toddlers. We laugh a lot! Love being mommy!! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

I went a little crazy!

Here's the first of one of my new hobbies! I decided to make my own bows, so I picked up some stuff to make rosettes.  Originally I wanted to make one to match my Easter outfit (to match my boys outfits). But I went a little crazy. It was fun! I loved seeing the end result and letting my imagination go wild. These are just a few that I made in one sitting! I need to get my real camera out and take better pictures. It's just so easy to use my iPhone... it's always there!

I wore this blue one to the store today and got SO MANY compliments! A couple people asked if I had a business card!?!? Hmmmm... maybe I'm onto something here! :)

SUPER....WOMAN!!!! ;)

Bracelet, hair pin and earings... but I'm thinking about making the earings into rings instead. They're kinda big.

These rosettes are detachable and can also be worn as a hair pin!

I wore a bow/flower to church one day and a girl with really short hair said to me she wished she could wear a flower in her hair. I made a little one so she could! This one's for you "K.K."! :)

Love this one! So cute on!

Lil Harrison was playing while I worked.... tuckered himself out. Cutie huh!?!?
I've got so much material and ideas to just "run away" with these! But I have a couple other projects in my head I need to start on. To be continued.....

"Can you hear me now?"

Aye-yai-yai!! Ever tried to carry on a phone conversation with toddlers? I tried talking to my mom this morning while my kids had a "who can laugh the loudest contest"! This should've been cute, right? Well, it was one of those fake-pushed out laughs. I'm glad they were playing... so I didn't want to "put them in trouble", so I asked them to hush it down a bit as I ran from room to room so my mom could hear me and visa versa. They followed me. "Can you hear me now?", I said.... no response.... we were disconnected. Uggggh! So I called her back. This time the boys game turned into an arguement... a loud one. Again, "Mom can you hear me?". Guess what, I somehow hung up on her again. Just not meant to be I guess. On to mommy duty.... I know this is only a season. Therefore, I enjoy the season while it's here. They grow up way too fast.

Random note:  Thank God for friends (and my mom and sisters)! It's hard to have "big people" conversations with munchkins around. The little time I do have with my friends, I enjoy. I think they think I talk to much though! LOL!

Another random note:  After spending most of the week with just me and my boys (hubs was gone for work) I spent some much needed mommy time at one of my favorite places, Hobby Lobby! I picked up some supplies for my latest artsy projects! I got started on one last night and the ideas just kept coming!! I'm so excited! I'll take some pics and post later.

****So, my 3 year old just came down for the 1,456th time (he's supposed to be napping/watching movie) so once again mommy duty calls. I'll try to take pics as I get further into my project and post.

Love b'ing mommy.

Blog Vacuum Alert!

View VACUUM.jpg in slide show

I've been sucked in! I LOVE the blog world! I started a blog b/c I thought it would be a good way to document my kids "cuteness" (I'm not doing so great with the baby book thing). I'm loving reading blogs too! There are so many cool/crafty ideas of things I'm GOING to do around my house, with my kids, with fashion! AND there are so many COOL/INTERESTING people out there! Don't get me wrong... I'm still going to Blog my Beautiful Boys, after all they ARE my world. However, as I learn more about the blog world you may see mom in munchkinland blossom! ;)

I'm excited! (can you tell?) I've gone crazy with the punctuation and capitalization! Sigh... I foresee more late nights ahead! Create a blog and join me!!!

tired. bed. g'nite!

My crazy-wonderful, imperfectly-perfect life!

Today was a great day! Just another day, really. Everything was "normal" but covered with cheese (because everything is better with cheese, right?).

I woke this morning to my husband kissing me on the cheek good-bye, then to my 3yr old son kissing me all over my face saying, "I love you mommy!" (insert awwwww here). Harrison and I snuggled for a good hour before Liam woke up. LOVED IT! Everyone woke in a good mood! No whining! Breakfast went without a hitch! I figured out how to keep Harrison from dropping food all over the table and floor. I told him ugly bugs would come to the food if he dropped it! Is that mean? Well, it worked! Hardly a mess to clean up! I read a childrens bible story to the boys (they love the story of Noah and the "big boat"). Then play time! A nice walk around the block and Harrison didn't run off! We played in the back yard and Harrison even pushed his baby brother in the swing! (Insert cheesy music here). A few brotherly arguements here-and-there but they actually listened when I told them to stop and Harrison even said, "sorry mommy"! Then I sat at the computer to do a little work and they played so well together!! Bath time/prayer time/ bed time= flawless!  It's like there were cameras following me today and everyone was on their best behavior for the viewers! I ended the day with a giant soft pretzel and glass of water (flavored with that new MIO stuff- yummy!). I had to capture this day in my blog (b/c that's kinda what its for). Now... a Good Housekeeping magazine awaits me!

A day in my life usually consists of all the previous events but not all go so smoothly! Things that take most people 15 minutes to do usually take me about 45 minutes. In spite of all the crazy days... a day like today really helps remind me to see things in color.... a "pretty" day in Munchkinland today! I appreciate the crazy days... and love the good days! Every day with my beautiful family is a blessing!

Here is a picture of my adorable boys! They just decided to sit here and have a little chat! Pardon the picture quality, this was taken with my phone.

Oh my gosh! Did I brush my teeth today?

Have you ever had that moment of asking yourself, "Oh my gosh! Did I brush my teeth today?", followed by your heart dropping to your toes and a quick brush of your tongue across your teeth?  Well... turns out I did! But it was one of those days where I seemed to forget everything! My "auto pilot" didn't fail me today! (Thank goodness! And I'm sure those who came in contact with me today were "thanking goodness" too!) ;)

So, tomorrow I start a "schedule". No, brushing my teeth won't be on it! :) But I think if I can look at what I need to do in a day instead of cram it all in my head I won't forget the small stuff (or forget that I remembered the small stuff). Seems simple right? Unless I forget to do my "schedule". Sigh....... I'll let you know how that goes! ;)

Greetings from Munchkinland!!

Hi there!! Let me explain the name... it has more than one meaning...

1. The obvious:
I am a stay at home mom of two toddlers. Harrison, 3 1/2 and Liam, 2. My day pretty much revolves around my two little "munchkins"!

**UPDATE!!**My munchkins are now 9, 8, and 4! Our 3rd boy, Lennox came and my blogging went. Planning on getting better at that, though. 🤔

2. The other:
[Picture this in black and white] Dorothy flying around frantically in a twister and then THUD, she lands hard ["oh!"]. She then opens the door to a bright colorful world... Munchkinland. [Um... picture that in color-lol]😉 --Real life can be a whirlwind. But my munchkins bring so much color/happiness to my world.😊

I plan to use this blog to tell my funny (and not-so-funny) stories about being a mom, reveal any secrets I've learned along the way, and other tid-bits I find interesting. And ...well ... to vent occasionally too!

Please feel free to visit "Munchkinland" any time!
 ;)
